Five facts about heaven that you should know

Have you ever heard the song that says, when loved ones die they go straight to the throne of God in heaven?  

"...And I went to the church where I use to go
The preacher was still there, he met me at the door
He said I know who you are
And I know whom you're looking for
But they, they don't come here anymore, no they don't

They are somewhere around the throne of God
Somewhere around the throne of God
I keep searching, keep on searching until I shall find them
They are somewhere around God's throne..."

Do you believe that to be true? Everyone, who dies, are they now in heaven with God?  Presented on this website are the truths that are found in the Bible, the Holy words of God.  Let us find out what the bible has to say about heaven.  Presented in this article are seven (7) facts about heaven that everyone should know.  

Heaven is the home of God

Heaven is definitely a real place, not because humans aren't able to access its location, does not mean that it doesn't exist.  The Bible speaks about the existence of heaven (heaven is mentioned over 600 times in the Bible).  One thing that God did not reveal to mankind is the geographical location of Heaven.  And I am sure he has reasons for not telling us where heaven is; I guess we will only find out where it is if we make it there.  Heaven is the home of God; the Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all (Psalms 103: 19).

There will be perfect peace in Heaven

When we get to heaven there will be only peace forever more. The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the Lord (Isaiah 65: 25).

There will be no tears death or pain in heaven.

In our life here on earth, we experience numerous things that cause us to hurt and feel much pain, but in heaven, there will be nothing of such nature. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4).

You will build your dream house in heaven

17. For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. 18 But be ye glad and rejoice forever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying. 20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them (Isaiah 65: 17-21).

You will not go to heaven the moment you die.

We will go to heaven when Jesus comes at the second coming and take us there.  1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14: 1-3)

People who will  go to heaven Love Jesus and obey his commandments

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city (Revelation 22: 14).

Not everyone will be going to heaven.

In order to make it to heaven, you have to accept Jesus and believe in him as your savior. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
